A bit about Glendine
My work is a reflection of my deep connection to the rugged beauty of the Karoo and my personal journey as an artist.
For over 30 years, I've drawn inspiration from South Africa's vast, arid landscapes, capturing their stillness and strength in my Karoo Landscapes, Still lifes, and Karoo Madonna series.
Recently, my art has evolved, becoming more expressive and bold as I explore more contemporary themes.

This November and December, Karoo Madonna Atelier welcomes you to Kuns vir Kersfees, a joyful celebration of art, colour, and the start of the festive summer season.
Our first group exhibition brings together the original work of ten remarkable South African women artists, each creating in the same 30 x 30 cm format, offering a beautiful variety of styles and stories.
At the heart of this exhibition lies the spirit of the Madonna - the everyday woman who carries strength, creativity, and grace. Through their art, these women honour that spirit, celebrating the courage, warmth, and beauty of mothers, makers, dreamers, and creators alike.
This year, Kuns vir Kersfees also joins hands with Matla a Bana, supporting the 16 Days of Activism for No Violence Against Women and Children. A portion of the proceeds from the exhibition will be donated to this important cause - art to uplift, inspire, and make a difference.
